Two brothers. A computer shop in Regina. A Government of Saskatchewan contract that changed everything. And 30 years of hard-won lessons that became the foundation of how we work.
Co-founded in 1996
Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
Regina, 1996.
Two brothers, one shop.
Lexcom started the way many great companies do — with two brothers, a genuine curiosity about technology, and a desire to help local businesses succeed. In 1996, we opened a small computer shop in Regina, Saskatchewan, building custom PCs and solving the technology problems that small businesses couldn't figure out on their own.
We weren't just selling hardware. We were solving business problems. That distinction — business first, technology second — became the philosophy that would guide everything we built over the next three decades.
As businesses started connecting to the Internet and building internal networks, we moved with them. We became the partner that handled not just the computers, but the networks, the connectivity, and increasingly — the entire technology strategy.
That reputation for results led to a contract that would define the next chapter of Lexcom's story: the Government of Saskatchewan.

A computer shop in Regina
Two brothers start Lexcom — building computers, solving business problems, and learning that technology only matters when it makes the business work better.
Networks, Internet, and the Saskatchewan government
As businesses connected to the Internet, Lexcom evolved from PC builders to network and connectivity specialists. A contract with the Government of Saskatchewan marked our entry into enterprise IT — and set the stage for everything that followed.
Y2K — and the proof of reliability under pressure
We handled Y2K readiness for government and business clients across Saskatchewan. While others scrambled, Lexcom's clients were prepared. The first real test of what accountability in IT delivery actually means.
Windows NT4, Novell to Active Directory
We led enterprise platform migrations — from Novell NetWare to Microsoft Active Directory, deploying Windows NT4 and early Windows 2000 environments across government and business clients. This era built our deep Microsoft expertise.
Consolidating IT across Saskatchewan executive government
Lexcom played a key role in one of the most significant IT initiatives in Saskatchewan's history — consolidating IT service delivery across all executive government into a single, centralized delivery model. The scale, complexity, and accountability of that engagement set a new standard for how we approach every client relationship.
Significant growth — and significant setbacks
Rapid growth brought new challenges. We experienced setbacks that forced us to question how IT services should be delivered — what goes wrong when you scale without structure, and what it actually takes to deliver consistent, accountable results at enterprise scale.
Those setbacks became the most important education we ever received.
The Best Managed Technology Framework is born
Out of those hard lessons, we built something no textbook could have taught us — a structured, business-first framework for IT service delivery. Not a product. Not a checklist. A methodology built from three decades of real-world experience, aligned to CoBIT, NIST, ISO, and ITIL, and designed to eliminate the chaos that derails most IT engagements.
500+ clients. Canada, the US, and beyond.
From that computer shop in Regina, Lexcom now serves clients across Canada, the United States, the Middle East, China, and the EU — with a network of 200+ professionals and a reputation built on accountability, transparency, and results.
The Best Managed Technology Framework — born from hard experience.
Most IT frameworks are designed by committees and consultants. Ours was designed by practitioners who lived through what happens when IT delivery lacks structure, accountability, and a genuine connection to business outcomes.
The Best Managed Technology Services framework is an innovative, business-focused approach to IT service delivery — built on the premise that technology only creates value when it's aligned to business performance, not the other way around.
It aligns to CoBIT, NIST, ISO, and ITIL standards — not because those are boxes to check, but because they represent the accumulated wisdom of what actually works at enterprise scale. We've applied that wisdom to businesses of every size, from a 10-person clinic to a provincial government.
The result: increased reliability, better employee and patient experiences, reduced risk, and substantial cost savings — delivered through standardized, structured execution that eliminates chaos from the ground up.
Business performance first
Every engagement starts with your business objectives. Technology is a means to an end — better performance, lower risk, more competitive operations.
Structured, standards-based delivery
CoBIT, NIST, ISO 9000, and ITIL alignment across every engagement. Predictable outcomes, documented processes, and full auditability.
One point of accountability
One partner. One contract. One team responsible for outcomes — managing vendors, resolving conflicts, and ensuring nothing falls through the gaps.
Continual improvement
Root cause analysis, corrective action logging, and a results-focused culture — because the best IT organizations never stop getting better.
Full transparency & auditability
ISO 9000-compliant service management. Everything documented, scheduled, and reportable — so you always know exactly what we're doing and why.

Unparalleled work ethic
We approach everything with the same intensity we brought to that first Saskatchewan government contract. Standards don't slip because the scope is smaller.
Built from hard lessons
Our framework wasn't designed in a boardroom. It was forged through real-world experience — including the setbacks that taught us what accountable IT delivery actually requires.
Empowered people, fast decisions
Our employees are empowered to make the right call — because fast, well-guided decisions are what separate good support from great support.
